Opinkirjo is a youth work service organization formed by eleven Finnish organizations in the fields of youth work, preventive substance abuse work and education. We develope Finnish society, increase the visibility of youth work beyond its own sector, and strengthen the use of youth work methods. Our activities particularly promote equal opportunities for participation and influence, thereby enhancing wellbeing and strengthening democracy among young people. At our stand, free materials are available for professionals working in educational institutions.
Nuoska – Center of Expertise for Youth Work at Schools and Educational Institutions
The section also includes the Center of Expertise Nuoska, whose mission and goal is to developer youth work in schools and educational institutions. A consortium is coordinated and adminisered by the South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences’ youth research and development unit Juvenia, and Opinkirjo acts as a co-implementer.
The focus areas are:

Strengthening the visibility of youth work in schools and educational institutions in teaching and student welfare plans.

Developing reporting and knowledge-based management regarding youth work projects in schools and educational institutions.
During 2024–2026, Nuoska is one of three centers funded by the Ministry of Education and Culture. The centers forms an entirety which supports the implementation of the national youth work and policy program.
