Development Centre Opinkirjo is a youth work service organisation formed by 11 Finnish organisations.

Opinkirjo has been contributing to the development of Finnish schools for 80 years. Our work has focused on fostering creativity, participation and agency among children and young people.

The competition Hyvä toveruus and the Hymy statues have evolved over the decades and, through the values they represent, contributed to shaping Finnish society.

Opinkirjo looks towards the school of the future – a school where children and young people find every school day meaningful, are encouraged to retain their curiosity, and grow into strong, capable adults who actively contribute to their communities.
