Seeking solutions to the global learning crisis

More than half of the world’s children and adolescents are not learning the basic skills in reading, writing or mathematics. Additionally, at least 750 million young people and adults still cannot read and write. This global learning crisis hinders the prosperity of entire nations. Countries can only be as strong as their human capital. What solutions, policies, practices and innovations are needed to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and lifelong learning opportunities for all?
