“Leaving the world in better shape for our children” is sheer arrogance: we should be thinking about how we can leave our children in a better shape to fix the world. Simon Anholt, governmental policy adviser and publisher of the Good Country Index, an annual survey that ranks countries on their contribution to humanity and the planet, argues for the Good Generation: a new global compact on educational values and virtues that will produce a new generation of humans who run towards the global challenges, instead of running away from them as we have done.
